The school is situated fourteen kilometers from Ranchi City. One Thousand Three Hundred and Seventy Four students are enrolled in the primary and middle school sections for the academic year 2012-2013. The exam results continued to exceed the Jharkhand norm and stood a 90% pass rate.
The student population comes from thirty-five local villages surrounding the school. The furthest village is six kilometers away. Approximately ninety-nine percent are scheduled tribes and scheduled castes. There are now thirty one faculty and staff employed by the school. The High School section has been restarted and has 90 students.
