The REDS (Ragpickers Education & Development Scheme) Skill Training Center is located within the Chandapura Panchayat of Anekal Taluk, 22 Kilometres from the REDS main office, the center seeks to equip street boys with a more complete knowledge of a healthy lifestyle.  The STC commits itself to training the boys not only in manual skills, but also in confidence, positive life choices, and education. The boys have their birthday and family night celebrations. Under the direction of 9 staff members, the centers boards 60 boys who train in carpentry, welding and lathe, tailoring, electrical and plumbing.   In addition some attend a local school for formal education.  Upon completion of training each boy is placed in a job within his field.  The non- formal instruction is being held in its classrooms. Other new facilities include new training units, dining hall, chapel and auditorium.
